Getting started

Prepare your chart of accounts

Check your accounts, add the missing ones and set the import source of your bank accounts.

The chart of accounts lists the accounts in your books. ark.flow Compta uses it to propose entries and to show your banks on the Import screen. A well-prepared chart saves you most of the corrections later on.

Check your accounts

Open Chart of accounts. Search for an account by number or name. If you imported a Crésus file, its chart of accounts has been taken over.

Add an account

  1. Click New account.
  2. Enter the Account number (3 to 6 digits), the Name (FR) and, if you also work in German, the Name (DE).
  3. Choose the Account type: Asset, Liability, Revenue or Expense.
  4. If needed, set the Parent account, for example 40 for a materials expense account.
  5. Click Create.

Prepare your bank accounts

For each bank, card or payment account (class 1 or 2):

  1. Open the account and choose its Bank import source: your bank, Twint, PayPal, Stripe, camt.053 (XML) or Other (CSV).
  2. Save.

The account then appears as a button on the Import screen. Its IBAN is saved automatically the first time you import a statement that contains it.
