Why ark.flow exists
ark.flow, piece 3.
At ark.swiss, we build business software. ark.plan runs our company internally and replaces Odoo. ark.stock has been used internally for several years and will be deployed for the Crans-Montana Alpine Ski World Cup 2026 (inventory and event management). ark.flow is the third piece: accounting, fiduciary workflow, and budget in the works.
The origin.
ark.flow Compta came out of my own bookkeeping. A week per semester catching up on Crésus — re-entering transactions, hunting for attachments, redoing the same reconciliations. I coded the tool I wanted to use at the next closing — with native Crésus export, because my fiduciary works on it and I wasn't going to break his chain.
I showed him the V1. His reaction:
What we actually need in the firm is a tool that automatically compares the tax returns we file with the assessments we receive, and classifies files on its own. No vendor does it.
ark.flow Fiduciaire was born from that conversation.
Later, a project manager from a Geneva web agency threw out the idea for ark.flow Budget: use accounting data to spot the invisible — overlapping insurance, redundant software, vendors charging 30% above market.
An ecosystem that talks to itself.
The three apps are hosted in Switzerland, nLPD-compliant, and designed to talk to each other and to the rest of the ark ecosystem. An invoice digested in Compta feeds inventory in Stock. A Stock rental generates an invoice in Plan. Everything circles back into Compta. Full interconnection is the roadmap for the next twelve months.
Working with ark.flow now means direct access to the founder.
On ark.flow, I run the show — I write the code, I answer support, I set the roadmap. Your feedback does not land in a ticket that rots for three quarters: it lands on my screen. A need that comes up across several firms becomes a module for everyone. A very specific need, I can handle with custom dev within the scope of the suite.

Who we are
ark.flow is published by ark.swiss sàrl, a Swiss company founded in 2019 by Matthieu Schmid and Corentin Morel, based in Saint-Légier, canton of Vaud. ark.swiss designs and maintains business software for Swiss SMEs and freelancers, and ark.flow is its finance branch: Compta for day-to-day bookkeeping, Fiduciaire for accounting firms, and Budget, currently in development. The founder's note just above explains why these three products exist and how one led to the next.
Engineering principles
- Single-tenant — every customer gets their own application instance and their own database, isolated from everyone else's. Because nothing is shared, there is no risk of cross-tenant data leakage.
- Hosted in Switzerland — our entire infrastructure runs on Infomaniak in Geneva, in ISO 27001 certified data centres powered by renewable hydroelectricity.
- AI with no retention — customer data is never used to train models. Calls to language models are routed through providers under strict DPAs, with an explicit no-retention clause.
- Native Crésus — our accounting export is compatible with the reference platform in French-speaking Switzerland. It is not an approximation or a rough mapping, but the actual format that fiduciaries expect to receive.
- Longevity — we write the code we still want to be maintaining ten years from now, rather than chasing the framework of the season.
